E-procurement Market Research Report: Trends in Procurement Systems
Big data analytics, machine learning and artificial intelligence are increasingly being used in e-procurement systems. That’s according to recent research among 22 vendors of such applications. We previously conducted research on e-procurement application vendors in 2016, the E-Procurement Trends & Market Study. It covered implementation processes, business case preparation and trends in e-procurement then. This year, we updated and expanded the data on the functionalities of e-procurement systems. We examined vendors active in the Dutch market. Our consultants Ramon Abbenhuis and Sevim Garip report on this market research.

Tendering in 10 days
Preparing a tender quickly takes several months. Can it be done shorter? Our consultants Sander van der Laan and Luuk Spanjaards and UWV procurement consultant Youp Veeke put it to the test.
Earlier this year, UWV and Supply Value managed to reduce the preparation of a tender to just ten days. The tender concerned the UWV Panel, an online platform used to engage with customers about the benefits agency’s services. Both conducting customer surveys and facilitating the platform were part of the requested services. Shortening a process that normally takes many months to just ten days can only be done by doing some things radically differently.
