For the seventh year in a row, Supply Value has surveyed key trends and priorities within the procurement profession. The results of the trend survey can help procurement professionals set priorities and determine focus areas for the upcoming year.
As in previous years, an online survey was created to analyze the trends. This online survey was distributed in collaboration with NEVI and VIB. A total of 258 procurement professionals participated in the survey.
In the online survey, we asked respondents to score 15 topics related to procurement based on a five-point scale, where 1 represents very low priority and where 5 represents very high priority. The results show that procurement professionals currently give the highest priority to:
- Supplier management
- Optimizing processes within the procurement function
- Aligning procurement with business and strategy
For each procurement trend, we have formulated concrete recommendations in the report.
