Supply Value colleague Jeroen Arentsen has won Sourcing Netherlands 2020 thesis award with his thesis on ‘Early supplier involvement in public IT procurement’! He wrote the thesis to complete his master of Business Administration at the University of Twente under the guidance of Frederik Vos. After praising the jury, he received the award digitally.
“Very relevant topic, little research had been done on early supplier involvement in the public sector. Thorough research, over 150 participants, good response rate. Good theoretical framework. Clear conclusions and recommendations. Well-accessible writing, and excellent English. Extensive bibliography,” the jury said about Jeroen’s thesis.
We are extremely proud of our colleague, congratulations Jeroen!
The 2020 Supply Value Procurement Trends Research once again reveals that co-creation and innovation with suppliers is the number one trend for the next five years. With this, procurement professionals emphasize that it will be increasingly important to collaborate with suppliers in the future. Furthermore, the ICT sector has many technological developments with a rapidly changing market. This means that the ICT sector may benefit greatly from the early involvement of suppliers during the preparation of a tender. In short, it is a relevant topic on which little research has been done.
