Whitepaper: Getting suppliers involved early in ICT procurement within the public domain

Procurement, Publications

The 2020 Supply Value Procurement Trends Research reveals that co-creation and innovation with suppliers is the number one trend for the next five years. With this, procurement professionals emphasize that it will be increasingly important to collaborate with suppliers in the future. Furthermore, the ICT industry has many technological developments with a rapidly changing market. This is also reflected in Supply Value’s recently published IT trends research in which it is clear that the IT trends of 2019 and 2020 are very different from each other. This means that the IT sector could potentially benefit greatly from involving suppliers early on during tender preparation. Supply Value, in collaboration with the University of Twente, has therefore conducted research into the early involvement of suppliers in ICT tenders. During this research, a questionnaire was distributed to ICT buyers within the public domain.
