Temporary coverage won’t solve the real problem: Canyon Year 2026
How does Supply Value help your municipality?
At Supply Value, we support municipalities with structural improvements that reduce costs and increase impact. Our experts ensure that your strategy turns into results, not just plans. We make strategy work!
In the Spring Memorandum 2025, the cabinet reserves an incidental €3 bln boost for municipal finances in 2025-2026. This breathing space is welcome, but the structural deficit in the Municipal Fund will still increase to around €2.3-2.4 bln per year from 2026 onwards. Those who do not take action now and make clear choices and set priorities risk facing irreversible cuts in 2027. At the same time, major social tasks are piling up, such as public space, housing, energy transition, care, safety and climate adaptation. Thus, the gap between tasks and resources is not narrowing but widening. How can you keep track of your statutory tasks and ensure a structurally balanced long-term budget?
Why maintain grip now?
Happy Clients

Our fully customised approach
We understand your need for control and offer a tried-and-tested approach that takes your local situation as a starting point. Together, we identify challenges and opportunities, after which we create a viable plan that we then also help implement. Some of our services include:
Spend analysis at organisational and/or procurement level: clear overview of your expenses, including cost-saving opportunities.
Strategic advice and implementation: from reassessing policy priorities to the actual execution of plans; we are at your side.
Cost-benefit analysis per programme/team: focus resources on maximum social return/impact.
Process improvement: analysis of selected processes and identifying opportunities to optimise these processes together with those involved, and creating a culture of continuous improvement
Draw up annual plans on 1 A4 using OGSM method to set goals and priorities.
Action now, peace in the future
Invest now in sharpening priorities and executing plans, then you will build structural peace by the time the structural deficit (± €2.3 bln a year from 2026 onwards) hits again. A balanced multi-year budget provides peace of mind and clarity. By acting now, you make optimal use of available and increasingly expensive resources and prevent budgets from going unused. This will keep your municipality financially healthy and give you room to invest in what really matters.

In this whitepaper, we explore sustainable change in the living environment and the role municipalities play in this transformation. Sustainable change refers to future-proof adjustments that do not quickly require new (and costly) modifications.
Download our whitepaper below, and explore how municipalities can take meaningful, future-proof action in the spatial domain, without falling into short-term thinking or fragmented decision-making.
